The weapons are automatically released, but you must keep holding down the trigger until all the bombs have been released. 26. For the next pass, we'll try level-bombing using the CCRP mode in combination with the "Shkval" targeting system to lock the target. We'll then have the autopilot fly the aircraft to the release point. 27. We'll use FAB-100 light-weight, blast-fragmentation bombs. In this case, they are loaded on Multiple Ejector Racks (MER) with 4 bombs each. We'll set the Ripple Interval switch to the setting designed for this purpose. 28. The "KMGU/MBD Series" switch configures the release such that weapons will come off one station only after the previous station has been unloaded. 29. If you need to pause the lesson, press the PAUSE key. 4.The Su-27 is an all-weather fighter designed to engage airborne targets. 5.The aircraft can carry up to 4000 kg. of ordnance on 10 hardpoints, including medium and short-range air-to-air missiles. 6.For this lesson, we are armed with the following: Four R-27ER medium-range semi-active radar homing (SARH) missiles; 7.Two R-27ET medium-range infrared homing missiles; 8.Two R-73 short-range infrared homing missiles; 9.And 2 SPS-170 ECM pods. 10.The Su-27 is equipped with the N-001 pulse-Doppler radar, which is designed to detect airborne targets and provide guidance to aircrafts radar-guided missiles. 11.We have a group of targets ahead of us at medium range. Lets begin working with the radar. 12.Select Beyond Visual Range (BVR) mode by pressing 2. 13.Press I to activate the radar. 14.Press D to select R-27ER missiles. Waterproof to 100 feet, the Observer is designed for outdoor use with a rugged, shock-resistant body and backlit dial. Suunto has improved its altimeter to allow the Observer's logbook to display and record at the same time. The altimeter allows you to view the current altitude with a range up to 29,500 feet and a resolution of 10 feet. The Observer features 24 hours of logbook memory, and the improved logbook stores up to 40,000 feet of data. With the push of a button, you can measure ascent and descent rates between stages with altitude simultaneously. The barometer allows you to measure the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, measure absolute pressure, and follow changes in barometric pressure and temperature. The Observer's compass shows directional bearing in degrees and cardinal or half-cardinal point. There is a north-south arrow, and a bearing tracking function displays locked bearing, actual bearing, and the difference between these declination adjustments. The compass's bubble level ensures a reading accuracy to within 2 to 3 degrees. Watch functions include displays for day, time, and date with three programmable alarms plus a stopwatch and countdown timer.
